In todays world, where we have advanced more technologically in the past 30 years than the previous 300 years prior, depression and anxiety are commonplace. It is no longer taboo to discuss depression and anxiety. In fact, depression and anxiety relief have become a billion dollar industry in chemical treatment alone.

While there may be genetic tendencies towards each of these disorders, environmental triggers seem to play a key role. No matter what the cause is, depression and anxiety can be crippling to an individual.

Many people who suffer from depression dont realize the underlying anxiety that co-exists with this disease. What is important is that both depression and anxiety be treated in order to have more successful results for relief.

The question that remains controversial is which depression and anxiety treatments work the best? Some find that taking a prescribed medication such as an antidepressant, works miracles while others choose to deal with depression and anxiety through alternative medication.

Depression and anxiety counseling have not been lost: there have merely been hundreds of depression and anxiety theories factored in to which treatment works best. Many times, finding the correct depression and anxiety counseling is as much trial-and-error as finding the correct antidepressant, herbal remedy or dosage. Different depression and anxiety counselors must fit like a glove in order to gain trust and build a good relationship with the one suffering from the depression and anxiety.

Many experts stress that depression and anxiety is best treated with a combination of drug therapy and psychotherapy. Once the major symptoms of the depression and anxiety have lessened, it is advised that the patient adopt a lifestyle which includes exercise, nutrition, relaxation and prioritization.

Depression and anxiety are manageable when treated correctly: never give up hope, even though hope seems to be the first concept depression and anxiety try to take away.

Awareness and prevention are empowering weapons in the fight against depression and anxiety. In the future, this author will share powerful tools to use which will assist in breaking the depression and anxiety cycle. <strong>Depression and Anxiety</strong>
