Anxiety Attack Symptoms

Before you can understand anxiety attack completely, you have to be able to understand the symptoms. Did you know that there are many people who could be suffering from anxiety or some type of anxiety disorder and don’t even realize it? Many people do to the doctor for what they believe is a physical problem but is actually anxiety disorder of some type?

Anxiety attack symptoms can affect anyone at any age. Millions of people across the world have anxiety but it really becomes a problem when it affects your day to day living. Even though there are many treatment options, some people avoid getting help for their problems.

Some people don't even know there is help available and they think they can do it on their own. If you have anxiety attack symptoms, it’s very important that you visit your doctor and discuss the problem so you can rule out any underlying causes and see what treatment options are available to you.

Now that you know this, how can you recognize the symptoms of anxiety attack? There is actually a wide range of symptoms that can manifest themselves in a variety of ways but some of the common symptoms are:

· Being on edge constantly

· Feeling in a constant state of worry

· Suffering from constant headaches

· Depression

· Unrealistic fears

· Easily irritated

· Tiredness but trouble sleeping

Often people attribute these symptoms to a physical problem or illness in their life or they think “it’s just stress” and that they will need to learn to live with it. The biggest problem with anxiety attack symptoms is that they lead to more anxiety.

Often people will associate an anxiety attack with what they were doing at that particular time. You will be afraid of another attack, causing you to avoid this thing in the future. This can cause big interrruptions in your regular schedule.

Common causes of anxiety attack symptoms are sudden death, illness or trauma in the family. Sometimes mild childhood trauma stays with a person into adulthood and causes a snowball effect.

When you try to avoid the things that cause you anxiety, you may find them harder to avoid. You will also find yourself wanting to avoid more and more things over time and this leads to isolation and often depression. What starts as small anxiety symptoms can grow until it’s completely overtaking your life, your job, your personal relationships and your ability to live a normal life.

However, it doesn’t have to be this way because there are many treatment options available to help you. Knowing the symptoms and also knowing that you need help are the first steps. There are even many things you can do on your own at home to help treat and prevent anxiety attack symptoms and take control of your life once again.
