You can beat anxiety
Anxiety attacks are something that causes distress for the whole family, if a parent has social anxiety disorder they will not want to attend any school functions they will not want to go to their spouses work functions. This can cause difficulties within the family group.
You don't have to let anxiety take a hold on you, you can usually feel an anxiety attack coming on so you have time on your side. If your normal behavior is to run from the situation that causes you anxiety maybe now is the time to start trying to face it.
Running away from the things that cause you anxiety is a understandable reaction, if you don't have to deal with it then it can't bother you can it? The problem with running away is that the problem or situation isn't gone and the chances are you will have to face it again.
I know it is easier to say than to believe but your fears can't hurt you. You are in charge of your thoughts and feelings, facing the cause of your anxiety is not easy and can be scary but it will be worth it.
Anxiety doesn't have to rule your life, no matter how long you have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks it doesn't have to carry on any longer. You don't have to let anxiety make you to scared to do anything, life is to be enjoyed and you don't have to let anxiety ruin yours.
While your insides may feel like they are going to explode in a ball of panic and fear, the people around you will not know that. There is no need to worry about anyone knowing you are anxious about the social situation. You are in control, no one will know you have a social anxiety disorder unless you let them know.
If you can stay positive, it can help to defeat the feelings of anxiety. Just keep telling yourself that anxiety and panic will leave soon and that it can not hurt you.
You can not beat any illness until you accept that you have it, it is real and you need to do something about it. You know the people and places that cause you to have anxiety attacks, face them one at a time and deal with them one at a time.
Understanding anxiety is a goal every person who has anxiety hopes for. Many people with anxiety feel no one understands, anxiety can make your life miserable, but it can be beaten.
