Anxiety Panic Attack Symptom - The Emotional and Physical Signs

All of us experience some mild form of anxiety at one time or the other. It's the unusual person who doesn't fear public speaking or making a major presentation at work. Others may be fine with that, but become very anxious when they meet new people.

Some degree of anxiety is to be expected in many situations. In fact, some degree of anxiety can even help us perform better if we channel its energy properly. If anxiety leads to useful action, we are probably OK.

However, too much anxiety becomes counterproductive. It not only feels terrible, it leads to lower performance. At this point, it's no longer normal anxiety but an anxiety panic attack symptom. This is the point when the person with the episodes need to become concerned.

One way to know whether anxiety is normal or abnormal is to look at how you respond to it. If you find yourself taking action in preparing for the situation at hand in dealing with it appropriately then it's likely a normal degree of anxiety. However if you find yourself paralyzed with fear, unable to act and afraid no matter what you do things will turn out terribly then you definitely have abnormal anxiety.

Anxiety panic symptoms are also physical. A severe episode triggers the fight or flight response leading to an outpouring of adrenaline. The adrenaline causes a rapid, pounding pulse and many other uncomfortable symptoms.

Considering that anxiety panic episodes affect both the physical and emotional state, it's not surprising that people find them so distressing. Anyone would naturally want relief from that distress. Fortunately, in today's world people suffering from these attacks have many treatment options available
