Coping With Panic Attacks - 3 Fantastic Tips!
Coping with panic attacks is an extremely strenuous task when we're not certain about how to handle them. It is fortunate then, that in the past few years that our understanding of coping with panic attacks has increased hugely. This is good news for those suffering from panic disorders as well as mild sufferers, because it allows us to much more easily get a grip on our problem.
Taking vitamins is the first bit of help we can advise you on. Of course, additional amounts of Vitamin B in our diets can be extremely beneficial for us. Their are other helpful vitamins such as Velarian Root and St John's Wort, which should be able to be found at any good pharmacy. As a result of taking these vitamins regularly, one can expect to feel more relaxed, alongside a general sense of freedom.
The second tip for coping with panic attacks is to learn to recognize the triggers that cause your attacks. These vary from one person to the next, but understanding your own triggers will allow you to recognize situations that will cause an attack. For example, some people may have problems in an elevator. If you know that this is true for you, and you have to take an elevator, start looking for a solution that will allow you to distract yourself while in the elevator, or arrive early enough to take the stairs.
The third piece of advice for coping with panic attacks that we can impart is to practice your breathing. The reasoning is this; you may have noticed how our minds and body are linked to reflect each other's emotional state. For example, when we're feeling down, notice how our shoulders slump, along with our entire body. When we're angry, notice how we're quick to tense up. What this means is that if we can change the way our body acts, our minds will naturally follow. So when you feel yourself about to have a panic attack, instead of tensing up and breathing rapidly, which makes us more worried, concentrate on relaxing your body, as well as focusing on slowing your rate of breath. Your body will calm down, with your mind automatically following.
When you know how, coping with panic attacks is not so difficult. We've learned a few things above; additional vitamins are great for helping you to stay relaxed. Avoiding your triggers will keep you free from certain situations that may cause unnecessary stress. Learning how to slow your breathing will help keep you and your body calm. Following these 3 simple tips will give you a fantastic starting knowledge of coping with panic attacks, so that you are able to live a joyous, carefree and happy life.
