The Symptoms Of Panic And Anxiety Attacks
If you have never had a panic attack, you are probably one of those individuals who bring ridicule and criticism to those that do. It is a simple ignorance of never having experienced this that allow you the luxury of acting this way. An individual who suffers from one will usually get quickly overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety and panic and will have them quickly escalate over the next few minutes. It is possible for these feelings to pass in about a half hour, but it is also possible to experience these feeling repeatedly.
Other symptoms that you may experience is you think you are having a panic attack are: a sudden feeling that you are dying or that you have lost control, shortness or breath, nausea, dizziness, sweating, hot flashes chills, uncontrollable shaking and racing heart. More than likely, it will be some type of combination of these symptoms of a panic attack.
This wouldn't be much of a 'symptoms of panic attacks' article without me telling you a few of the main ones would it? If you have a racing heart suddenly and get hot flushes or chills these are well known symptoms of a panic attack. You may get a whole mixture of symptoms or you may only get one. Numbness of limbs is another symptom and pins and needles. It doesn't matter where you are, the symptoms and attacks will happen and you need to do something about it.
The more common of all of those causes is when you are involved in an activity or in a certain setting that automatically triggers fear and you begin to experience a panic attack. You may have a fear of flying, be scared of tight spaces or possibly do not like to be in crowded areas. If you have identified one of these as your causes for panic attacks, you will obviously want to avoid putting yourself in that spot again.
It is very common for someone experiencing symptoms of a panic attack to think that they are having a heart attack. They both share many of the same symptoms and it is no surprise that this often happens. Unfortunately, for those that are suffering from these, it will only make their panic attack worse at they really will be thinking that they are going to die.
If you already have had a panic attack then you should be in touch with a doctor already. They can't heal themselves unfortunately, and they only get worse without treatment. Discuss it with your doctor but also look on the web at the hundreds of help websites and the many helpful people waiting to talk to you. The amount of people in your situation might surprise you, I'm sure it will definitely help you. As with all sites, check the reputation and if in doubt get a second opinion on what you are being told.
