Probably the most frightening symptom of a panic attack would be a total feeling of fear and a need to escape. Such symptoms infer a complete loss of control and during this state a person may prove to be a danger to himself. This is one the many reasons why a panic attack needs to be taken seriously since it places the person experiencing such symptoms in a dangerous situation.
