I have a year old border collie mix who has separation anxiety. She barks constantly and is destructive when we aren't home. We are getting complaints from the neighbors. We have used muzzles, vibrating collars, and pharamone treatments to get her to stop and she still isn't. We also have resorted to crating her. Any advice?

I have been taking zoloft and klonopin for anxiety for a while and I think it is no longer helping enough. I am thinking of switching to a different ssri and ativan (instead of klonopin). Any suggestions on what the best med is for generalized anxiety disorder. Thanks!

Have you claimed your Genesis site?

My dog, Lulu, suffers from anxiety when she is left alone in the house. She tends to tear up the carpet, sofa, etc. She is also extremely excited when we come home.

Other than more exercise when we ARE around, what other measures can we take to help her? Is there anyway to keep her occupied while we are gone? We leave the TV on sometimes which helps a little, but if we are gone too long she will get antsy.

I have been to 2 cardiologists and a whole bunch of other doctors to check if I have a heart problem. They've done multiple tests and all conclude that I have a healthy heart. At times I feel a sense of my heart skipping a beat and off and on pain, I do suffer from some health anxiety and it stresses me out. I have a heart obsession I'm always afraid of something happening with my heart. I'm 21 yrs old and overweight but I have been eating healthy. I eat fish, lots of veggies and drink organic juices. So I just want to know if thinking bad things all the time can cause bad things to happen?

I have many physical symptoms. They worsen when I go to places like the grocery store. My vision gets weird and I feel like I can't focus. I have a past history of alcohol problems. I have been sober for about 2 yrs. I don't know what to do anymore though because I haven't ever had a real job, I dropped out of college, and I have tried anti-depressants and they didn't work for me even at high doses. I have also gone to therapy and read an anxiety work book. I feel very hopeless. Can anyone recommend something I could try that might help it. I used to just try and hide my anxiety. It is to the point where if I am out with a friend they notice and ask if I am ok.
I am not a violent person. I am a wife and mother of two children. What happened at Va Tech was very sad. I am and never will be a person like that. That comment was very rude and uncalled for.
