What is the best anxiety medication that works the fastest?

Can you answer suckylife5's question about anxiety?:

I am about to go to my doctor and ask her to prescribe me some anxiety medication. I have been dealing with anxiety for so long that I can't take it any more. I wanted to know which anxiety medication works the fastest. I don't want to wait months for the medication to kick in.

You have to exercise. Anxiety come from stress and physical activity gets rid of stress. if you have treadmill at home, do 30 minutes before sleeping, or if you dont have any exercise machine, get into tai chi or yoga. Tai chi is what I do and it does great things~^-^ it helps you relax and be healthy.

My grandma has a huge anxiety problem and the only thing that works for her is Ativan (lorazepam).

Your doctor will be able to prescibe something that you can take when you need to - something like Diazepam.
They will know whats best for you, try not to worry (easier said than done when suffering from anxiety!!)
It might be useful to write down what you need to say, as when we panic we sometimes forget things.
Hope you get some help

MEDITATION and not medication is the answer;

Combine good meditative practices with the medication that your doctor has prescribed. The response would be faster.

Also, continue with your meditative practice without interruption life-long, just as you would not forget to breathe!
